Smash Cheeseburgers with Onions & Garlic Aioli

Cooking Burgers in the Oven is EASY and may become your family’s new favorite dinner! This recipe with the “melt-in-your-mouth” trick makes all the difference! The real secret is my Burger Seasoning that I have come up with.

Burger Ingredients

2 lbs of 93% lean ground beef

5 small yellow onions or 3 large onions sliced

Sliced American Cheese

3-4 Tbsp Ashley’s Burger Seasoning

2-3 Tbsp Yellow Mustard

Olive oil

Salt & Pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°

Season your ground beef with the burger seasoning and mix well with your hands. Let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes

Placed sliced onion evenly on lined sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper.

Split the ground beef into 8 balls and place on top of onions on pan

I use the bottoms of a small plate to smash my burgers flat onto the onions. Then pick the up patty to make sure there is plenty onions under burgers. You don’t want the burger actually sitting on the pan, it should be lifted off the pan by the onions.

Brush the tops of the burger with yellow mustard

Cook for 10-12 mins.

Remove from oven. Move burgers to a tray top with cheese.

Turn oven to broil and put onions back into oven for a about 5 mins or until onions slightly brown
