Turkey Sausage & Asparagus Breakfast Bake. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so when I have time I like serve healthy breakfast that is hearty enough to hold them over until lunch. I know I’m starting their mornings off right with this easy breakfast bake.
12 ounces turkey sausage
1 bunch of asparagus chopped
1/2 cup half & half
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese &/or pepper Jack
1 tsp Italian seasonings
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
Pink Salt & pepper
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Whisk in medium bowl together the salt, pepper, seasonings, eggs, milk and cheese. Set aside.
Heat large skillet over medium heat and add sausage, crumbling as it cooks for about 5 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon to greased 9×13 dish and spread out evenly on bottom.
Drain some of the fat of if needed and in same pan sauté asparagus for about 2-3 minutes. Spoon asparagus into baking dish evenly on top of sausage.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of sausage and asparagus.
Pour egg mixture on top of sausage, asparagus & cheese.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Allow to set for at least 5 minutes before cutting.
